For most Indian students, pursuing STEM courses and exploring futuristic technologies such as AI and robotics continue to have far-reaching scope. However, in the process, they may be overlooking opportunities in creative fields such as visual arts education, craft, design, sculpture and music.
When a girl from Rajasthan, Sujata Tibrewala, flew down to the US in 2010, after completing her BTech from IIT Kharagpur and her master’s from Indian Institute of Science (IISc) in Bangalore, little did she know that her passion for arts would get her prominence in a new country. While she worked with Intel and studied technology entrepreneurship as well as a woman leadership program from Stanford University, her desire to pursue art made her a celebrated eco-feminist artist and award-winning creator.
